After hooking up an aux battery to my 84 Westy, the on-board battery condition indicator now reflects the condition of the Aux battery only. which is to be expected, since that battery now serves the fridge.
I also hooked up a float charger to the aux battery, so when I have shore power, it recharges without taxing the alternator. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=99857
I am considering hooking up a second battery condition indicator, and secondary float charger for the main battery, and wondered if anyone had a recommended solution. I picked up this indicator from Harbor Freight. only $5! http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?itemnumber=65928 <http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?itemnumber=65928&Subm it=Go> &Submit=Go
Thanks for any suggestions!
