Yes, Melissa, deer hunting season commences in early Sept. in this area of 395. Stay alert; these guys are often hunting up to 10:00am and at times have surprised me right near campgrounds. If any of you campers and your kids will be wandering about the hills in this area hiking, etc. during Sept., it might be good practice to wear an orange vest too. :)
