btw......... in Bishop, Ca.......... Galen Rowel Gallery. he is 'THE' Ansel Adams of outdoor color photography, and a world class mountaineer too..... though he got killed in a small airplane crash in Bishop a few years, ago, after they moved Mountain Light from Berkely, Ca to Bishop.

but stop in there for sure ! right downtown, can't miss it. East side of the main street.

that grade..........I suppose it's 6 to 10 miles long. you approx it on a long gradual gently uphill............several miles of that , then the steeper part starts.......maybe a 6 miles climb on the steeper part.

just don't be there in a stock diesel vangon ! there's a Euro style pictoral sign at the bottom ........ that red circle with a red dash across it .......over a icon representing a diesel vanagon. it says 'no diesel vanagons allowed on this grade' ...........verbotten ! just funnin' - don't anybody get in an uproar. I love the things, slow as they may be. ( well, love/hate for the stock 82 ) :-) Scott www.turbovans.com
