The WBX injectors have a relatively proprietary barbed inlet. I have only seen this style injector elsewhere on early Nissan/Datsun 280Z's.

VW went with a standard injector type used by many different manufacturers in their watercooled EFI cars. The 1.8 Golf/Jettas use a 19lb injector, probably the same flow rate as the WBX injectors.

Previous discussions on the list have suggested building fuel rails from aluminum injector stock. Not too difficult for those with decent skills and proper equipment. These rails can be drilled to 13.5mm to fit the more common o-ringed Golf/Jetta injectors. This would eliminate the plastic fuel rails and allow use of injectors you can buy new for around $100 a set.

In that case, you have a handful of spares - a good idea.

I wonder if anyone has an injector cross reference that can be used to locate donors from non Vanagon's? Such a cross reference would ne very handy to those searching scrap yards for parts.
