yeah, what a beauty ! the fore-aft and left-right 'null spot' of where the shifter is, is adjustable.

to adjust for aft location, say in neutral, you loosen the clamp on the splines in the rear shift rod , then gently move the knob a short distance, to where you want it to be, then tighten clamp. the same is true for roational adjustment at those splines (which affect left-right loaction of shift knob ) .... loosen clamp, gently move shifter to it's new spot, tighten clamp.
