On my '85 Westy I have 2 strong ones rather than one standard and one strong which was the OEM way. The strong ones (from Bus Depot) are the stay where you put 'em types ... not the lift assist types. I like them! They have lasted through 4 brutal winters without any degradation.

My '84 7 passenger has one strong and one standard and when they quit working I'll replace them with two heavy duty types.

You know what they say ... different strokes ...
