Subject: Fridge Blows out While Driving.....TAKE TWO!
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

So i've been driving my bus as a westy for almost a year now (A year on August 10th), and 6000 miles in the last 2 months.....And my fridge has been plaguing me as some of you remember.

I made sure the pipes were strait, I made sure the seals were sealed, I made sure the flue was cleaned, and on my trip from PA to Reno NV My fridge would stay lit inconsistantly but tended to blow out when driving 75+ MPH. Anyway, today I think I found a reliable enough symptom to try to diagnose.....

I can't get the fridge to blow out at all while driving if it's not on "FULL CHILL". When I have it on the full chill mode, it tends to blow out, but as soon as I turn the knob just a bit down (at night), I see the flame get smaller and hear the click, and it becomes impervious to harsh driving conditions (I threw 400 miles on it over the last 2 days with a total elevation change of over 7000 feet and some 80-85mph runs).

Any thoughts?

Sincerely, Craig '85GL turned WESTY BOSTIG in the trunk for 6000 miles.
