That's why I yank the injectors and fuel rail out of any motor with suspected fueling problems and look at the spray patterns. Just energize the fuel pump and momentarily ground the injectors, with a fire extinguisher nearby of course. I actually have a setup outside of the vehicle so an arrant spark won't roast the vehicle.

Probably just cleaning and spray pattern & leak testing since you really can't rebuild them. Injectors are basically poppet valves and they are service items. They work until they wear out then you replace them with new or tested used ones. But since they are just poppet valves & they wear, don't expect tested used ones to last near as long as new replacements!

It's too easy to "try this, try that" when troubleshooting a problem. And sometimes injectors are blamed for other issues just like oxygen sensors, spark plugs & wires are blamed for other issues & they get changed out. Also, thousands of gallons of injector cleaner are sold every year for the same shot gun troubleshooting.
