There's a sticker on the relay box over the ignition coil unless my memory is sadly mistaken that says what it's certified for. If it's not there it's nearby -- that's how I knew that mine (which was delivered in Germany) was a CA-rated vehicle. The idle stabilizer box just forward of the coil is a different color (I think the CA one is lightish green, vs black for the Federal) and idles 50 rpm higher than the Federal one. Seems to me that Bentley says the CA vans got the big filter aft of the fuel pump, but mine did not have one.
