Robert, Agree with Don and others. There are lots of choices. I make that run 8 to 10 times a year from San Diego. Suggest you buy a copy of Tom Stienstra's, California Camping (Foghorn Outdoors). Tom misses very few of the available sites and his comments are usually helpful. The multiplicity of choices he gives you also mean that you do not have to plan ahead, you can make the call on the roll. Enjoy the Eastern Sierra. It's a special place. Rob Durham
