I don't consider vanagons to have 'door chimes'
but they do have a key buzzer .....
which I guess is what's being talked about.
I *always* remove key buzzers from my vanagons.

Such useful info! Well, my vanagon has chimes, no buzzer, that would be obnoxious. Guess I have a different relay. I still have yet to decipher your message from the other day Scott-- thanks for the info.
