I took apart my brakes again (argh) and found that I had the adjusters installed incorrectly. I corrected the problem based upon a Dennis Haynes post from the archives (that guy just gets it right all the time ... thanks Dennis!) ( http://gerry.vanagon.com/cgi-bin/wa.exe?A2=ind0805A&L=vanagon&P=R12814). Now I have brakes and a functioning parking brake. So today I'm going to order a new muffler and tailpipe. I would like to have stainless steel, but the cost is prohibitive. Who's got a good straight bolt-on muffler and tailpipe that you've had good experience with? Thanks, Warren in Santa Fe 88 Westy, Subie 2.2 |
