This has no Vanagon content, but it is Friday, so I'd add a tid-bit I heard from a friend who is a media buyer in SoCal: auto dealerships have been going ape$#!t buying TV and newspaper ads running "Cash from the Federal government" pew car sales promotions. The program is a wild success in the eyes of the dealers.

How one personally feels about it is a matter which may lead right down the slippery precipice into the morass of politics, a subject that generates a lot of postings, which is not appreciated by many on this list, Friday or not. IMO.
