Subject: Power Window Switch All of Sudden Dead? 88 Wolfy
Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed; delsp=yes

So I had my van basically sitting for 4 months while the engine was being rebuilt. Before I parked it and had the engine removed my drivers side power window worked fine.

Yesterday for the 1st time I tried to use the window and it wont move.

Any idea's Why?

Could the switch just die?

Could it be a bad ground?

What should I be looking for?

I looked on the Bently and that Manual is useless, at least I could not find anything in there on it. I checked the Haynes Manual as well, nothing.

The engine is back in the van, all new fuel lines (run through the special grommets that Ben uses), new coolant hoses, new heads, pistons, the works. Got it on the road & highway for the 1st time today in 83 degree temps... with all the windows up! I was dying from the heat. I must figure this window thing out.

Any help would be appreciated.

Checked all the fuses and they they were all fine, check the wiring and nothing was frayed or changed since it was last working.

Van is an 88 Auto.

Thanks in advance.

Robert NY
