Your experience, mine, Harold Teer's, make me think that the position of the temperature sensing thermocouple makes a big difference. Other variables, unknown, are whether the drip pan is installed and whether a fan is being used (like a Fridgemate.)

I experimented some and decided that the drip pan (under the freezer compartment) should be there. All old fridges that I know had a similar pan, so I assumed they'd figured it out. Although I was a late comer to the Fridgemate in the Dometic, I converted after I saw how much it improved cooling. But in the Vitri, I decided it was better without it. Active cooling vs passive cooling, whatever that means....

Vitris should all be apples, but I guess we have apples and oranges....

BTW--I don't think anybody disgrees with what started this all--that a week on an aux battery is wishful thinking.
