I just purchased an 84 Westy and while the PO did most things right, he really didn't maintain or fix the brakes correctly. I just ended up doing the master cylinder, brake booster, drums, shoes and wheel cylinders. Only thing we haven't done is calipers and brake lines. She is now stopping, very well, I may add. Some of you may recall from my trip report of 2 weeks ago that I drove 410 miles from Anaheim to Sacramento with "squishy" brakes. Well, ooh, la la! Squishy, indeed!
