I also think how many miles you drive to be important when getting quotes from collector or classic car insurance. Do you drive from BC to Mex regularly or just 300-400 miles camping 4 times a year? You can get a stated value policy and stay within your miles for cheaper thatn traditional insurance. Or if you are stinking rich, you don't need to insurance! Bank the interest.
