No, you have to use your hand to pull it up, it's just guided by the
"insert" rather than flopping around once it leaves that bottom "nest".


I used a piece of PVC as I had one on hand and it accomplishes the same
thing. Convenient way to place the rear table back into its resting place as
well. You don't have to "fish" for the nest with this mod.
