There is a high probability this is going to sound condescending and it's not intended that way but here goes.I bought a computer 10 years ago and took some classes and did some reading about how to use it and it's features. I also read some of the booklets and instructions that came with the Dell computer. Then I had to learn how to "behave" while using the internet and that's where/when I found out about: How to cut and paste: 1/ highlight the text you want to cut/copy/delete. Highlighting can be done by putting the blinking cursor at the beginning of the text to be highlighted, push and hold down the left mouse button, and drag the cursor down to the bottom of the text to be cut/copied/deleted. Release left mouse button. Right click the highlighted text and left-click on the "cut" option. You can also use the "Edit" in the toolbar at the top of the screen to "cut" or delete what you have highlighted.

ONce you cut text, that text is stored or remembered and if you wanted to, you could paste that text into another email or word project.

I just did the above to what used to be below the text at the bottom of this email, under the top part of Jake's email.
