You might look into synthetics. Many people in the US run Redline MT-90
or MTL in their VW transmissions, with good results. MTL is thinner,
and more suited to cooler latitudes.


VW has a synthetic which should be available worldwide - G50 (p/n G 005
000 for 1 liter), but it's expensive.
