That kind of info is very useful. I did not know of Viton.

I figured the Dometic O ring material would be specific for that kind of application. And assumed the neoprene (or equal) would not be appropriate. Or safe. Just didn't know of what it was likely made of.

You've helped save me from spending $$ on a fridge upgrade. Of course if my final Dometic "mods" don't work, I'll be heading to TruckFridge land soon enough. Still. Would have been a shame to ditch the fridge over one silly O ring.
