I am about to replace my Dometic with one that works better, and all this refrigerator talk has me wondering. These two items do not mesh well: 1) Some say that it is _imperative_ that the vehicle be level any time it is in operation, otherwise the unit will be damaged. 2) In a discussion of the burner blowing out at highway speeds, some say they have lit the thing and left it that way 'til it's time to refill the tank! How can these be reconciled? I'm not buying the idea that these folks level their rig every time they lock the doors. What gives? Can I leave the fridge on at all times, or do I need to be paranoid about leveling once I've actually got one that works?
