uh................look in the wiring diagram and find the color of the wire coming out of the switch, and test for voltage right there when you pull the stalk........??? like that ? Is this a trick question ? that'll work. I did that once. - the wiring diagram thing vis a vis the washer cirucit. I did not like that running the washers akso made the wipers sweep 3 times on my 82 GL Diesel Vanagon. so I dug into the wiring diagram........found 'the wire' that goes to the wiper relay or whatever it was ........ then snipped that one wire .....and I got independent wiper and washer function. that way ....I can squirt for 15 seconds straight, then run the wipers however long I want. it's in there ....... it's just a blockage or leakage of fluids or electrons ........you can find it. I'd be surprised if the switch was bad, but I have some of those in stock, good used, for sale. oh......wanted to mention, not that you have this going on, but a a few times I've seen that the pump motor runs...... humms or buzzes nicely etc.........but no pumpee ....... the impeller of the actual pump part had come loose from the motor shaft. Have seen that numerous times in various washer pumps. I hope you figure it out Jim ! scott
