OK, The rest of the story After the Alternator light came on, I did some checking, got some info fowarded to me from the Vanagon List -- Thanks Everyone!!!! And, Then took the van plus a spare alternator to Advance Auto Parts. They check Beck/Arnly in the van. It was dead. They checked the extra Alt. I had - it was good. I had a "known good" regulator and tried it first on the Beck/Arnly. Nothing. I removed the Beck/Arnely and installed the Bosch and it rand and charged just fine. Problem solved. So - now I have three Vans and only one working alternator between the. I've got some work to do.
