Thanks for encouragement to swap parts.
A filter makes sense. Since part looks "newer", possibly it's an
upgrade Dometic made to address what you write of. Debris and such. As
for Mrs. Cake, I would imagine she wasn't involved in this possible
"upgrade".
I didn't know there was a filter inside the 182B thermostat. If the
swap fits/works, maybe I'll dissect the 182B thermostat and take some
pics. I mean there must be at least 2 other people on this list that
are just DYING to know what the inside of a Dometic thermostat looks
like. Right? <grin>
Thanks for your insights. I will avoid future mention of Mrs. Cakes.
