Getting 15K out of a rebuilt rack seems problematic. Are you sure it is the rack, and not something else? I have a good used rack, new joints and new U-joint wafers and a brand new V-box (reverser box). Yet I notice a little slop in the rubber bushings under the dash, inside the car, where the two prongs from the steering wheel shaft drive the lower part. I temporarily put a couple of zip ties through the extra space, but they will need replacing at some point. Was giving the steering a little drift, like a worn out rack.
Anybody replaced these and can give me some tips?
