$1200 because you had most of the parts. :-) If we look at it this way, one could build a Zetec conversion for under $1000 - if you had all the tubing, aluminum to make the adaptor plate, and then bought a junkyard engine for say $400. Or a Suby. It's all in how much you have lying around, which in your case was almost all of it. :-)
