Well.... I found the solution to that problem. Whatcha gotta do is modify the alternator so that the Sure Power provides the regulation. Requires removing the regulator/brush holder. Bend the contact so that the 'internal regulator no longer is in the picture and solder a lead to hook to the Sure Power. It's in the instructions for the isolator.

I resisted for nearly a year and suffered chronic low batteries. Finally bit the bullet and hooked it up like the instructions say and problem solved. Go figure.
