Folks -




I had a very unusual accident yesterday in my Westy. Came over a rise in the road going about 35 MPH and ran into electric wires that were pulled taut across the road right about neck level from a downed power pole (no I wasn't out driving in a storm - it was a perfectly normal sunny day).




The cables impacted the van about 1' up from the bottom of the windshield, then scraped up the glass until they reached the roofline, and then ripped the luggage rack in half, tore about 6" into one side of the pop-top, and then snapped. After the snap, the cables scratched the passenger side, and whiplashed around the back and broke out the rear window. Very scary all around.




SO - I am in desperate need of a replacement luggage rack section of the pop-top. Please let me know if you have one for sale, or know of one in a junk yard. Thank you very much.
