Subject: Swap Dometic 182A Thermost to 182B?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hi all.

My 182B was exposed to water/moisture by PO. It works, but thermostat "scratchy" and tube from thermostat to interior on 182B corroded at bend behind thermostat. Tube might last, but hope to nip this in the bud (swap in 182A thermostat + tube).

My 182A thermostat looks relatively new.

Will a 182A thermostat swap "plug and play" into a 182B Dometic?

Tubes to "yellow" safety valve different so it would stay. But, distance between "yellow" valve and gas valve *seems* the same. But, not sure if "yellow" safety switch threads at thermostat are the same or if special tape or pipe dope required at these threads.

Pics easy to provide. Thought I'd ask before taking apart!

Much thanks and apologies if this has been asked and answered in archives.

Neil.
