Yes, at least with a Westie you can get "off" and go for a walk to get away for a bit.

Sometimes a Vanagon camping trip can seem like a voyage, though. Sometimes pretty close quarters and you must be somewhat self-reliant like on a sailboat..

We spent some winters in Baja and we would often see "New" arrivals who'd just negotiated the northern portion of the Baja Penninsula which is quite desolate. You could often tell which couples were going to "make it" and settle down to enjoy thier Baja experience, while others, you just knew that one would be catching a flight home from Cabo or La Paz very soon....
