Hey all you lunatics---

I've been off the list for quite a while, but I'm giving you fair warning: I'm back.

My bus has been sitting for a couple of years now. Before you have me arrested and hauled cross country to the Cambridge PD station followed by a Beer Summit at the Whitehouse, I got injured pretty good a while back and the bus suffered the consequences of neglect.

No need for panic, the bus was never injured, save the insult of sitting in my driveway like a monument to my failure to properly care for her during my recovery.

Now, like a Phoenix University Student, I am determined to raise the bus from the figurative ashes.

Don't worry about me, I am fine now, although I personally show a little more mileage.

The bus on the other hand has the benefit of not being driven so it still only shows 160k beneath the veil of cobwebs.

The first order of business is a wash and wax and see what we've got. Then I suppose I'll drain the gasoline or whatever it has become during it's vacation in the tank.

The bus started up to two years ago when one day I went to move it and it ran fine for about 4 minutes then just sputtered twice and died with a puff of white smoke as if it had run out of fuel. I couldn't really get around too well to diagnose the problem or fix it at that time, so it sat there. There was seemingly plenty of fuel in the tank at that time.

I'll keep you posted and likely be stuck and looking for advice.

I hope you're all well and look forward to seeing what's going on in the world of Vanagons again. (I've moved from aol to gmail in the meantime so I'm "Au Courant." I think that's French for "consumer" ;)

Yea!

Best, Jeff 83.5 Westy LA,CA
