Dutiful Passage's UK plate needed holes in the bumper, and when I put US plates on it ditto. Although it's true I ran the UK plate for over a year, always fun watching the strength wading through the inch of paperwork I had for it. Finally my conscience got the better of me.

Scamp has one of those new-fangled plastic bumpers and guess what? Holes.
