dear westie headed to dump which is a den of thieves...

remarkably that picture is from south africa ... i have contacted the original photographer and am waiting for some comments about the use of it ...

the whole tree hugging campaign or global warming or health care or any other issue ... is always done tremendous disservice to itself when those writing articles use photographes that have been doctored or are out of contest ...

sigh ... just this week locally i contacted the poster of a local news letter and asked him to qualify the veracity of the remarks i knew to be untrue ... he responded immediately by saying i was a miserable person who seemed to have a vendetta against persons mentioned in the article ...

later in the day a subsequent email arrived retracting the miserable person remark ...

i was amazed that a desire for truth is seen as an attack on the person ...

anyway ...

the whole thread has run all week and become a discussion about which hat one should wear when visiting germany to steal clunkers ...

which is exactly where the whole discussion should have gone ...

there are several canadian car dealers with adverts in the paper this week offering Cash for Clunkers ... and we dont even have such a ridiculous program ... although i will say in the early 70's in Prince Edward Island they had a program to remove wrecks from back yards and woodlots ... 50$ for each car body ...

some folks cut cars in half to claim an extra 50$

either way it made parts scarce in a province that had outlawed use of a motor vehicle in 1908 a ban that lasted till 1919

fryday at last ... yours
