last time I had a locking vanagon gas cap and no key for it....... just use a screwdriver on it. it was like 'nothing' to break the mechanism inside, then from then on, it looks like a locking cap, and is one, but any screwdriver is the key. I like to keep the appearance of the large round flat stock gas cap.
