Subject: Fuel Pump?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Brake line is fixed! I knwo have strong brakes again, what a great feeling being able to stop!

So once again I'm out in my 86 syncro and get about 7 miles out, make a few turns and I feel the bus start to buck, it recovers a few more miles and quits all together. I had this problem once before. I get under and knock on the fuel pump with a stone (what the hell why not) it start for a moment. Next I unplug the brown wire and white wire and plug them back in. Van starts and away I go for another 7miles back home.

Questions: Can fuel pumps be finicky like this before they give up? Seems that way to me. (who's got em for cheap?) Does anyone know where the brown wire's ground is located and where does the white wire go? I figured I'd check those connections too.

It's always something.

Then it's on to the exhaust system.....or some JB weld for a while :)

Thank you, Andy
