We were steaming along in a long line of 10 Syncro's in the Trout Lake/Mt. St. Helens area last week of July for a few days (Syncro Safari '09 arranged by Jim Davis). I wondered what the locals thought of our "herd" and just what might be going on. Lotsa logging going on in one area (we must have seen/driven by at least a dozen log-haulers going in the opposite direction). One water truck driver was having a very bad day and as he went by me (I was last in line) I clearly heard him yell the "F" expletive in plural. Link here to some of the photo's taken in the area: http://www.flickr.com/photos/syncronaut/sets/ .... click on Syncro Safari "set".

I thought White Salmon was a beautiful little berg. Very upscale looking community, I thought. I forgot just how beautiful the NW is. Used to live in PDX and haven't been back since the mid-70's. I'll go back. Great camping but I have to admit that the recent heat wave made it hard for me to enjoy the scenic beauty that lives there. Fantastic campgrounds!! Wonderful river running through Trout Lake, which we used as our cooling off spot. Made the rest of the day enjoyable.
