Hi all. A recent thread about WBX engine electrical demands mentions ECU heat. I'm running a Jetta 2.0 in my Westy. The Jetta ECU is under the rear bench seat. But. It is covered. (see pics of fancy cover I used) The stock location on the Jetta was up near wiper arms. Presumably a better ventilated location. I know on some Vanagons, the ECU is mounted under the rear seat. Is it covered? If not..... Am I increasing risk of ECU failure by covering it and containing the heat? I guess I could drill some holes in that fancy baking dish. <grin> Thanks!
