Interesting to me are the two diesel engine options and the 6sp manual tranny option. I tend to keep my vehicles for 10+ years. I'd guess by 2019 petro-fuel will be pretty expensive, so miles per gallon will be more important. Diesels do seem to run a lot longer than gas motors, unless VW has figured out a way to make them fail (so they can sell another 'unit') early and get the public to believe it's 'normal'. On another note: I recently saw an ad for "cosmetic updates" to make your Dodge Sprinter into a Mercedes. You could probably do that to your Toureg..make it look like a Cayenne...Or your Mercury Van...make it into a Toyota Previa... A third note: Does anyone else find those Sprinter/Mercedes to appear to be slight Overkill? I'm starting to see a lot of them around Oregon being driven as daily drivers/work/windsurfing vehicles. I've never driven one myself but they certainly are huge looking and look quite top heavy. Don Hanson
