Subject: What's a sick 1993 Microbus 2.5i worth?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Just wondering if there are any lurkers (eg in New Zealand) who would have an idea as to what a South African 1993 Microbus 2.5i with sick engine and dud clutch is worth. I have been offered one for the equivalent of $1650US. It's pretty tidy, though it has a few specks of rust (SA build quality ain't great). The Audi 5 is blowing lots of blue smoke; looks like a piston is burned through.

Might ditch the 84 Caravelle (IF I can sell it minus engine & trans) in favor of this bus, which has the larger side windows (this came in I think after 1990) and boxed rear vents. Shamne the seats aren't upmarket... it is an 8-seater and the left center seat folds inweard for rear-seat access. Might put my Caravelle GL's seats in... only seats 7, but everyone gets armrests.
