That hose is (believe it or not) still available new at VW.  I recently piced one out.  Roughyl around $40 for the whole hose.  You cannot buy just the fitting because it is shrink molded onto the hose. I doubt any auto part store would have that. Dealer or junkyard only. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Mark Sent: Monday, August 17, 2009 10:57 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Broken Gas Tank Fitting...DOH! Hmmm.... you broke the fitting? The white plastic part that the black plastic tube goes into?  I wonder if you could go to a foreign auto parts store to get something like that?  Bring the original part and have them match it up.  I would imagine gowesty or vanagain would have that part as well.  But if you have a junkyard with a vanagon in it - i'd be crawling all over that thing (haven't seen one in a junkyard around here in years - sw michigan). good luck!
