I don't know who told you that the zetec motor is a poor match up with the at. That's BULL. I put my zetec in 3 years ago. it's an automatic and it runs like a swiss watch. No problem with the gearing or the motor. If i keep my speed down to the speed limit i can get 20 or better on the turnpike on a long trip. Around town about 16, depending on how short the runs are. The install was a piece of cake with the turn key install. Pulled it into the garage sat. morning, yanked out that stock gem and put in the new power plant and drove it home sunday evening. I'm now ready to weld the hood shut. I love my zetec. I hope this helps. More than satisfied. Bob Mac
