I have the smoked taillights and the smoked front signal lights.

I recently went on a trip to CA and I removed them for the trip, replacing them with the stock ones.

First for safety reasons I wont be using them again until I have some good extra taillights such as the third tail light etc. and second, because I wasn't sure if indeed they are legal in all of the jurisdiction's I would be traveling in.
