RE: El Cheapo Batteries BTDT and don't recommend it. My last one, from 'Budget Batteries' here in Lynnwood, lasted about five months and died on my as I was pulling into Glacier Park two years ago. Ran back into Kalispell to the Walmart and replaced it, with better warranty, for about the same price as the 'budget' battery. Took the bad battery back, they would only replace it (for $8 pro rated fee) so I ended up with an extra battery I couldn't use. In snooping around I think that Auto Zone has the best warranty out there, Wlamart next. But Auto Zone is more expensive. A number of list members are using Walmart batteries for aux batteries and just take advantage of the warranty if they kill the battery. BTW, the one that only lasted five months for me did get abused, headlights left on twice and ran it way, way down. It only lasted a couple of months after that.
