Indeed... well-thought-out and funny!

And it looks as though I'm entering the second stage of having too many Vanagons...

...I'm buying a 93 Microbus 2.5i, that's one with an Audi 5. I don't know the price yet... the owner thought he'd ask about $3000US, but now (blown a piston, supposedly) he'll want a lot less. The engine will go to the dump and the 5-speed I'll try to sell... be lucky if it doesn't have to go for scrap too.

Then the Subaru 3.3 and Porsche bits and the vanload of goodies I've bought for the 84 over the past 8 or so years can go into the Microbus... and if I can I'll sell the Caravelle.

I note that this van has the larger side windows without a crease just below them; this must have come in not too long before 93, because most pics I've seen of South African T3s are no different in this area to German ones. I'll have to figure out how those 3 rotary controls for the HVAC work... can't see one for directing WHERE the air comes from or goes. Aircon... hope it works... someone please tell me where that doodad in one of the pillars is that melts down so that I can modify the wiring.
