That Modesto Weekender been for sale for at least 2 months and was $5800 when first listed. I spoke to the owner back then but chose not to drive 5 hours round-trip to visit the vehicle based on that conversation and the fact that his phone number seemed to be linked to at least a dozen other craigslist auto sales all listing the reason as "do [sic] to family illness". I like to buy from more upfront owners.

Which is why I am so happy to have recently purchased my first vanagon, an 89 Bluestar, from a listmember who has treated it (and us) very righteously. And this is my first post, as it happens. I believe there's (at least one) bus or vanagon for everyone!

Cheers, Peter
