Subject: Interest in Older Vanagon Shift Linkage reproduction
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

I am starting a program to reproduce some of the No Longer Available shift linkage parts for the 80-83 Vanagons. The first part that I am reproducing is the pin that is mounted to the side of the transmission that the shift linkage tube slides on. These pins have been NLA for at least 10 years. No one that I know of has went to the trouble or expense of reproducing them. We should have some available as of next week. Our price point is going to be $110 each for these pins. We can also get the bushing that goes on the end of this pin for an additional $15 new. If you are interested our first run of these is going to be 6 and after that it will take a few more weeks to make more. If you want to pmail me and preorder them I will do that and ship them on a first come, first served basis. The part that I am talking about can be found on page 34.2 of the Bentley Manual. It is called Guide Pin. The bushing I am talking about is called guide ring. We can also get the boot that goes over this part and I have a couple of the relay levers available new at the moment (going to see how much they would be to get made in the aftermarket as well). These parts are for the 80-83 Vanagon aircooled, and 82 diesel. I am excited to be able to offer these parts after being NLA for so many years. Just trying to keep our vans on the road. Thanks for your support.
