Car makers already use galvanized steel, but the galvanization layer eventually wears out.

If it produces the right5 sort of electrolytic conditions, it might possibly actually work, to some degree at least. Electrochemists please respond?

However I would expect this particular item to be complete BS. Proof is needed that it works. This won't stop people buying it, however. Look at all the fools who keep the "penis-enlargement" industry going.

I DO know that steel can be treated so that it won't rust, even when cut or scratched. This treatment is supposedly a New Zealand invention (yeah, probably a BS claim, as so many Kiwi claims are). It uis used on ColorSteel roofing/cladding. It DOES work. So why can't the car manufacturers, if they refuse to build cars out of stainless or galvanize them, use this process? All it would take is a total dunking in a vat under near-vacuum conditions to completely rustproof a steel car body, seams, sealed sections and all. No more worries about seam-rust developing after a body-stressing accident, either.
