Wow Dave, I lived in Tx for many years and regularly drove that corridor you speak of and I prefer it hands down, to what I go through now. I live in SW Colorado and I miss driving in Tx. Here it's just the opposite. Just plain slow drivers (usually driving big trucks, trying to conserve gas.) Then we have an unusually high concentration of civilians who like to police others by various tactics. Namely by driving SLOW, even slower than the speed limit, or driving slow in the fast lane.....and if you break a traffic law, they look at you horrified that you could have done such a thing! I guess I should mention that I learned to drive in Tx and that likely explains my bias. Miguel |
