Worse than knocking teeth out is blowing them up. The unsecured table will eventually swing the edge of the table underside the rear stove knob, turning on the gas unannounced. Ask me how I know. I also secure mine with a magnetic cabinet latch secured under the table, with the metal strike plates screwed to the wall. Works very well.
